When I was young, I lived in a bubble. I was from a high middle-class family and did not get to see or meet people from underprivileged families. As a teacher, I get to meet students from various backgrounds. This really opened my eyes to reality. I believe that as an educator, I have a strong part to play in helping the younger generation to be the best they can be. Only under the right conditions can a seed grow and flourish.
