The first year in Singapore. It was really tough for me. I only could work hard on my English. I only could keep going forward. I was really trying my best to learn English. My mother always scolded me for not improving my English. I really felt disappointed. When I called you, I always told you the happy things happened over here. Your words and voice always encouraged me. I had several times wanted to get up on this and even wanted suicide. It’s your encouragement always reminded me to persevere on it. In the end, I did it. When I look back, I am really proud of myself. Through this experience, I had learnt that persistence is victory.
