Endah Purnamasari

I am a girl with big dreams.

My name is Endah Purnamasari, I am from Central Java, Indonesia. I came to Singapore when I was very young, at the age of 19 years old. It was in 2009, so I have been working here for almost 9 years already, and I like everything about Singapore.

My Parents are farmers. I have two of sisters, and one brother. I am the oldest of four siblings.
For me, family is my foundation, they have supported me and have only wanted me to be happy. Their actions and words have shaped me into the person that I am today. I love them so much, as much as I miss them all the time (every second, every minute, every hour, every day).

I am a girl with big dreams. Although I am currently only working as A Foreign Domestic Worker, It doesn't mean that I am losing hope. There is always hope, even when I am at the lowest point of my life. As long as I still keep doing good, keep trying, keep working hard, and do not give up, there is still hope.

In 2015, I was lucky enough to be employed by good family from Australia. They understand my dreams. Since I joined their family, I gained lots of opportunities and new experiences. My employer supported me to take some classes, such as; First AID class, English class, entrepreneurship class, and cooking class. They also paid all charges.

As a domestic helper, I really know what my priority is...! I came here to work, not to study. So if I got a lot of a good thing or luck from my employer, especially got freedom to study, It's such a big bonus.

For the entrepreneurship class, my employer encouraged me to take study at Aidha Campus, as they know that Aidha is The Best Campus exclusively for Domestic Workers in SG.
Their hope are that the course (Aidha) continues to overall improve my English skills, increase my confidence, feel challenged, and proud of this qualification. It will also open better employment options in the long-term.

At Aidha I met so many friends from different countries.
I did learn lots of things as well with many perfect professional mentors there. In Compas Club, I did learn about budgeting money, computer, public speaking, etc. I was so happy being student at Aidha. Because everyone is so helpful and open minded. I improved my English a lot. Thanks to all teachers or mentors, friends, staff office who I met in this Campus. It was unforgettable, I will always remember you!

My lovely mentors are always kept reminding us when we were having class that "no matter who you are from, or what your backround is, the one thing that you should remember is BELIEVE, indeed you should believe in yourself, if someone else can do something amazing in life, you can also do it. Success doesn't depend on how you look like, it depends on how clever and hard working you are.

Keep believing it...smile
