Worth of Labour শ্রমের মূল্য

I am a labourer who crafts and moulds your days

আমি দিন বদলের কারিগর

But I myself remain uncared and unhonoured.

পাইলাম না কারো আদর।

I never get rid of all abomination and curse

কেউ দিলোনা একটু কদর

Those chase me throughout the life.

ঘৃনায ন্ত্রণা আর লাঞ্ছনা গঞ্জনা

Many talk about big prospects,

সবাইশোনায় আশার বাণী

But assurance never materialise

এক পালের পিছু ছাড়ছেনা।

So I am tired of dragging my life.

ঘুনেধরাজীবন আর কতদিন টানি‌

I hammer iron bars, build high-rise buildings

হাত দিয়ে লোহা পিঠায়

Toiling all day long and exuding my sweat.

শ্রম দিয়ে ঘাম ঝরায়

A poor, unfortunate labourer I am

উঁচুনিচু দালান গড়ি

Dying out of hunger,

আমি শ্রমিক ভূখা পেটে মরি

But want to raise my voice

তবে আমার ভয়েস তুলতে চাই

And claim the worth of my labour.

শ্রমের ন্যয্য মূল্য দাবি করি।
